Moonsoon – East of Asteroid

Moonsoon released their debut album East of Asteroid on May 2, 2025, through Apollon Records. Blending progressive rock with expansive sonic landscapes, the album marks the arrival of a distinctive new voice on the Norwegian rock scene.

The band is driven by Bergen-based drummer, vocalist, and artist Helge Nyheim, whose decades-long career and collaborations across multiple genres form the backbone of Moonsoon’s musical identity.

Co-songwriter, producer, and arranger Daniel Hauge played a central role in shaping the album’s artistic direction. Known for his production work with artists on the Apollon Records roster, including Dobbelgjenger, Hauge crafted the album’s sonic depth and dynamic range, and was responsible for both mixing and mastering.

East of Asteroid features contributions from a diverse lineup of acclaimed musicians: Ian Ritchie, Kjetil Møster, Bjarte Aasmul, Eric Campbell, Egil Hauge, Helge Haugland, Inge Rypdal, Kai Taule, Marie Moe, Bastian Veland, Ivar Kolve, and Sharon Gaynor.
